December's Mood
The mood for this month is Reflection.
As we embark on the final month of the year, I am in a state of reflection. 2020 has been one hell of a year wit a combination of highs and lows, lessons, and clarity. I personally have been stretched in ways that I could never have imagined. From leaving my 9-5 to moving cross country I did not expect that this year would have transformed myself and life in the way that it has.
This month of December will be one of great blessings and abundance that exceeds what I can even imagine and my goal is to be open, clear and quiet enough to receive the messages and guidance to allow me to lay hold of it all.
This time last year I remember working on 2019’s December Mood and focusing on how I wanted to finish out the year and start off the new decade. I came up with three goals for 2020 and below I share the ways I was able to accomplish those goals.
1. Leaving fear in 2019: In 2020, I let go and made the leap into a full-time freelancer and moved to Georgia all by myself.
2. Showing up boldly & authentically: I allowed my gifts to make room for me, started sharing my story, and creating intentional content.
3. Getting in a deeper relationship with God: I relinquished control, allowed God to lead me in all areas of my life, fasted for the first time in my life, and started trusting that I am always being divinely guided.
The crazy thing is I set these goals when I created that post and never looked back until now. I am living proof that when we get clear on what we want and write it down, we can really manifest our goals and dreams.
As I prepare myself for 2021, I am making sure that I consult God, get quiet and allow him to provide me with divine guidance on my next steps. I learned so much this year but the biggest take away has been relinquishing control. I was so used to operating out of my own strength (masculine energy) and this year I learned to depend on God and allow him to lead me (feminine energy). Moving to Georgia was such a necessary change for me, it redirected and awakened me to my soul mission and I began a whole new journey of self exploration and divine guidance. I experienced major transformation this year and it has been a beautiful combination of pain, restoration and clarity. I have had to get comfortable with living in the unknown and reminding myself of the vision/promise God shared with me.
“ Live in the present but think in the future” - TD Jakes
This quote will be carrying me through the remainder of this year and through this journey of life. Lately I have been constantly reminded to honor my present as it is the vehicle carrying me to my desired destination. Thinking too far ahead will have you missing out on all the beauty right in front of you. Also thinking too far ahead will have you blocking your manifestations. In my experience with manifesting, I have come to realize that the quickest way to manifest is to get clear, release and go about your day. This will allow you to be present and open to being divinely guided to that which you have asked for. The more that you fixate on that desire you aren’t allowing yourself to go through the necessary process of attaining that thing.
Right now, I am in a season of waiting to lay hold of all that God has shown me he will bless me with. I am also learning and unlearning as I embark on a whole new career and destiny. This season is hard because when you known a good thing is coming you want to experience as soon as possible and that is a major problem with our generation. We must allow goodness to come to us in it’s divine timing, while this is not easy it is necessary if we want that good thing to last.
What are you waiting on God to bless you with this month or in 2021? Let me know in the comments.
