Sunday's are for Brunching
Summer has officially began and this LA heat has rolled in, which means it's time for the brunching olympics to begin.

In my opinion Sunday's are the best days to brunch... mainly because its my favorite day of the week. Typically I go to church and something about praising the lord sure does work up an appetite. Or in my case I wake up late and don't have time for breakfast.
I started the day off with church service at the BET Experience which was held this past weekend. My Pastor was asked to be apart of the experience so I had to go and support, also it was across the street from my apartment.
June has been a month of such good things in my life, so this was more like a celebratory meal. With my new job, and just ending a horrible chapter in my life it was only right. Life has been a beautiful chaos lately for me and my tribe so it was definitely a blessing that my girl Jai had this Sunday off.
We decided to brunch at Blu Jam Cafe on Melrose. I had never been so was excited to try it out and i was very pleased. I'm no foodie but I am picky when it comes to certain things. I got their Eggwich plate which is a BLT with an egg + avocado and some fried potatoes. Jai got their signature Crunchy French Toast and we both got their Chai tea latte. It wasn't the best but it wasn't bad at all. Everything was amazing I'm actually fantasizing about all of it as I type this... The french toast could easily be split between 3 people and you can order sides of your choice. That's my plan the next time I go. lol
I'm not going to lie and say Summer is my favorite time of year. Because the heat is not my friend , she always tryna mess my hair up and make me sweat... I cannot deal. But I will say I am here for all the ratchetivities and shenanigans that can take place. Day parties, Brunching, pool parties, festivals.... Hello I am ready for my weekends to be lit... Until the next time dolls.
