Wardrobe Staples: Ankle Boots

I've been obsessing over ankle boots for years now, especially since I realized that I look ridiculous in anything but. They are without a doubt my go-to shoe when getting dressed on a daily. In retrospect, I've owned several types of boots throughout the years that were once on trend. Some I hang onto, hoping that they'll make a comeback, because you know everything in fashion does. However it is good to know that the style to ditch this year are any low, slouchy styles. Hold onto to any boots that are patent leather, have some kind of heel, some cool studs and detailed buckles, or even a leopard pair to update your next denim look. Street fashion is the best guide to showcase the versatility of ankle boots. You'll find these trendy boots paired with skinny jeans, boot legged pants, culottes, skirts, or even denim shorts. The good thing about ankle boots is the fact that they can either be dressed up or down, And both Olivia Palermo and Kendall Jenner exemplifies ways to showcase both styles. They are a go-to shoe and can definitely be a staple to any wardrobe.

Top Shop has a dope chic pair of white patent leather boots that I'm thinking of adding to my wardrobe. Kenneth Cole also has these nude suede ankle boot that I absolutely need. Neither of which are in my budget, but a girl can dream. However, H&M did do a pretty good job mimicking Kenneth Cole's boot for under 50 bucks, I might have to snag those for myself.
