Fall is finally upon us! If you’re like me, you have been waiting to bring out your favorite fall pieces. If you need a little more direction on what trends are worthwhile this season, let me help you! I personally always love some inspiration when I’m looking into my closet trying to find new ways to wear pieces I’ve had for ages and checking for what I can ditch to make room for in my closet each season. Keep reading to learn about the wardrobe essentials that will get you through this fall season  looking as fabulous as possible. From the best runway trends to the biggest street style staples, Fall 2017 will be an exciting time for fashion!

CRUSHED VELVET VIBES

Crushed velvet has to be one of my favorite looks this season. In Fall, it’s easy to let the weather decide your color palette but, these bold colors are the perfect way to incorporate more brights and texture into your wardrobe. Try pairing a velvet blazer with a clean, simple Tee and a denim skirt or boyfriend jeans. If you’re really daring, try styling them as pants or a skirt with a neutral sweater or blouse.

PRETTY IN PLAID

Think Cher’s Clueless wardrobe... but in 2017. Checkered/plaid/gingham prints are making a serious comeback and your fall wardrobe needs it! Try it as printed trousers and a graphic statement tee or as a mini skirt with a chunky sweater. Keep it simple with a smart blazer, light wash boyfriend jeans, and an ankle stiletto boot.

RED-TO-TOE

The color of the season: RED. This Fall trend is so good because honestly, red looks great any season. If you need a pop of color for an otherwise neutral outfit, throw on a red blazer or trench for added appeal. If you’re really bold, try wearing red pieces from head to toe with a white sneaker for balance.

DON’T FORGET ACCESSORIES...

I am currently obsessing over these trends in accessories and footwear! I am absolutely loving the versatility in the white, rounded frames that have been a style staple throughout summer into now. The rounded frames are the perfect addition to a monochromatic outfit for a pop of color and architecture. Berets are also making a huge comeback. They instantly upgrade your outfit to Parisian chic and make those bad hair days way easier to deal with. If you have some awesome dresses in your closet but don’t want to freeze in the thick of winter, the stiletto, thigh-high boot is the perfect way to keep your legs covered while still looking amazing and super on trend.
